Fourth Plain Pit Stop volunteers are trained to stop the transmission of COVID 19. We take virus transmission seriously, and can only use volunteers who are willing to learn and follow the training and instruction.
Our volunteers are designated by the state as essential workers by Governor Inslee’s March 23, 2020 Proclamation. Their volunteer work, and transportation to and from the Fourth Plain Pit Stop is exempted from the stay at home order.
From Proclamation 20-25, Appendix.
“Workers who support food, shelter, and social services, and other necessities of life for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals, such as those residing in shelters.”
“Workers who provide or determine eligibility for food, shelter, in-home supportive services, child welfare, adult protective services and social services, and other necessities of life for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals (including family members and individuals experiencing homelessness)”
Before training can begin, each volunteer must read, understanding, and sign a volunteer agreement.
